1901 Eagle Quad Stay Board Track Racer
The Eagle Quad Stay was highly regarded by professional board tracker racers at the turn of
the 20th century. It's distinguishing feature, the four chain stays, were designed to offer the
utmost in frame stiffness and transmit all the power of the sprinter directly to the rear wheel
without losing energy through bottom bracket flex. Eagle Quad Stays were ridden to US
national titles under the most elite racers at the height of popularity of track racing in the
United States. Very few of these bicycles remain in existence and fewer still are complete and
retain their original paint, as does this example.
